Everyday is Earth Day
Our Earth... She is alive.
We as humans, have a consistent invitation to live in complementarity with and as a part of the web of life, all of Nature. To remember that we belong invites us to live as we belong. Although much of humanity has separated themselves from the Earth in their minds, it is an inherent connection especially when nurtured and tended to through honest listening. Allowing this connection to awaken from within, comes alive and nourishes all of life through thoughts words and actions. We are the only species that considers ourselves separate from Nature and thus creates harm to all the beings of Nature. And, yet we also have the capacity to care for and nurture Nature through harmonious relationship.
When we are born of the Mother Earth, we are given a great gift to live a human life as a child of the Earth. The root word "hum" as in humble, humility, humus, human, means "earth" and homosapien translates to "born of the Earth". With the great gift of life, comes sacred responsibility to care for what has given us life. The Mother is calling us home to remember that we have a sacred responsibilities.
Let us acknowledge the endless gifts that are given of the Earth and the beings of nature. Remember everything that meets our needs as humans comes from the Earth and has been given by the Earth. (most often without permission) These gifts are so sacred. We must see them as so and to live in sacred reciprocity. The inner feeling of Gratitude for Nature opens a path for us to acknowledge the sacredness within the whole of life. Gratitude is a medicine to bring us home to remember who we are beyond the illusive reality of separation. Gratitude is a form of nourishment for all the beings in Nature and for the Mother Earth Herself.
Living presently we open ourselves to clear perception. To do this we must compassionately clear and clean the wounds of the past. Healing the past changes the thoughts we think, the choices we make therefore how we lead our lives in relationship to all sentient life. May we heal, so that our Planet can heal. Make every day EARTH day.... Lets put Her first.
